Hi, I’m Allison Matthews, the founder of Journey More Travel LLC, and I believe the best vacations are about so much more than checking a destination off your list.

I’m an avid traveler, an adventure seeker, a Disney enthusiast, and a mom of four. My family and I have traveled across six continents, creating memories that have shaped the way I think about the world and the way I plan travel for my clients.

I love experiencing the world in all its variety. I’ve hiked the Inca Trail, gorilla trekked in Uganda, snorkeled at the Great Barrier Reef and explored countless incredible cities and natural wonders around the globe. My goal is to immerse myself in the sights, sounds, flavors, cultures, and history that make each destination unique. Each trip informs my way of thinking about this world and its people. I believe that as travelers, we have a responsibility to learn from and support the local communities we explore. I strive to connect clients with authentic local experiences that uplift the people living in our travel destinations.

My mode of travel is always varied. I’m also an enthusiastic cruiser. I’ve experienced multiple cruise lines, including river cruises, and I love the unique way cruising allows you to explore multiple destinations while enjoying the sea-bound journey along the way.

From Traveler to Travel Advisor

Three years ago, I turned my passion for travel into a career as a travel advisor. After years of helping friends, family and clients create incredible trips, I recently took the next step and founded Journey More Travel.

My goal is simple: to help you make the most of your vacation.

I don’t believe a great trip is just about finding a beautiful hotel or getting the lowest airfare. It’s about creating an experience that connects you with a destination.

I love helping my clients discover opportunities to experience all that a destination offers. Whether that means finding a hidden gem, adding an unforgettable excursion, choosing the right restaurant, or building an outdoor adventure-filled itinerary, I want you to come home with stories you’ll be telling for years.
